This course serves as an introduction to theoretical linguistics, covering the fundamentals of phonetics, phonology, and morphology. While the language we use is composed of sounds known as vowels and consonants, what exactly are these sounds? Furthermore, complex rules emerge when these sounds combine to form words. The goal of this course is to explore these underlying rules and gain insight into the general cognitive abilities of human beings.
